Mandy Saligari

FDAP accrediated

Mandy started in 1990 running groups at the Charter Nightingale Hospital in London, and has since established herself as a specialist in addiction counselling, currently working from her own practice in both Harley Street and Kent. She has attended a number of courses over the years to support her experience in addiction treatment and has a particular interest in group facilitation, family intervention, relationship counselling and psychodrama.

Clare Sole

Clare has worked in health care for several years. She worked as an Auxiliary nurse prior to starting a career in the field of addiction. Clare has experience working in Detox and Secondary Care treatment centres and is currently completing her Diploma year in Humanistic Integrative Counselling.

Tom Tomaszewski has worked as a therapist at Charter for the last two years and combines his counselling with a career as a writer. 

Over the last ten years he has worked consistently to develop writing as a form of psychotherapy, at Charter and at the University of Kent, where he is an Associate Lecturer.

Madeleine Muir

Madeleine has been working in the addiction treatment field for eight years. Previous experience has centred on structured day care group facilitation and one to one counselling in both harm reduction and abstinent day programmes. Madeleine has a Post Graduate Diploma in Addiction Psychology and Counselling and is in the final year of her Msc in Addiction Psychology and Counselling at London South Bank University. She has devised and run her own therapeutic drama groups for three years and is continuing to facilitate drama groups on a weekly basis at Charter Day Care.

John Stewart

John Stewart B.S.c (Hons), M.S.c (Psych) MBACP studied Psychology and Philosophy at The University of Kent and took his Bachelor of Science in Psychology at The University of London. He went on to do his graduate degree in Psychoanalysis at University College London, followed by group therapy and psychodrama, and attended training courses in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Analytic Therapy, Gestalt Therapy & Short-Term Psychodynamic Psychotherapy.

Tina qualified in 2003, with a First Class Honours BSc Health Sciences/Nutrition degree, and joined the Health Doctors Clinic, W1, working closely with Dr Wendy Denning GP (Channel 5 Diet Doctors). She is also a freelance consultant helping private schools and nurseries improve their food provision and establish Healthy Eating Policies. Tina will explain what a healthy diet means and help remove many of the obstacles that make it hard to achieve that in everyday life. She recognises that everyone is unique, and she will tailor a programme specifically for each individual.

Fiona Mackenzie

Coming from an Art School background, Fiona Mackenzie worked in advertising as a Graphic Designer and subsequently as a Design Studio Manager for many years, both in London and New York, before deciding on a complete life change. She joined the charity sector to work as a Company Manager for Vauxhall City Farm working with disadvantaged children and adults. Whilst there she set up a Riding for the Disabled Project as well as several animal therapy, education, and environmental programmes for local residents and schools.

Fiona joined Charter Day Care in 2009. She is the first point of contact in Charter's office as lead administrator, and works closely with the counselling team and Charter's clients and their families.

 
Karen Austin-Taylor

Karen is an experienced administrator who has worked in healthcare settings for many years in both the public and private sector. As well as several senior administrative positions in hospital departments in the NHS, Karen has worked for the Priory Group and latterly for several years as the personal administrator for a leading UK psychiatrist. At Charter, Karen looks after client accounts, financial administration and marketing. She is married with five children, and enjoys technical hobbies such as PC building and software writing.
