Tom Tomaszewski
Tom Tomaszewski studied Art History at the University of East Anglia before working for several years as an editor and designer. In 2006 he wrote The Wisdom of Uncle Kasimir, an unusual work of fiction published by Bloomsbury, and has just completed another novel, Mr Sugar - a book involving telepathy, a dog, Robert Smith's hair, Wordsworth, plastic surgery and psychoanalysis.
He is currently training to be a psychotherapist and combines teaching literature and creative writing at the University of Kent (he has taught creative writing for over ten years at different universities and colleges) with his work exploring the relationship between writing and psychoanalysis - both theoretically and in practice, working at Charter Day Care in London.
Tom is Director of the Earthworks Project, a government funded scheme to promote reading and writing in Kent schools, which emphasises the importance of both for an individual's well-being.
